The Model Technician at Bonifate Dental Lab prepares model work by pouring, pinning, basing, trimming and articulating models to pre-determined specifications.
Required experience:
Dental Laboratory: 2 years
Responsibilities:
- Pours models using a spatula
- Maintain high quality results through utilization of proper pouring techniques to eliminate bubbles
- Grinds models to appropriate thickness using the model trimmer
- Pin models
- Base models
- Soft tissue application
- Duplicate models
- Cuts models using a saw to section the dies for trimming.
- Trims dies using a low-speed hand piece. Dies are trimmed to pre-determined specifications.
- Articulates models using the appropriate form of articulation. Bites sent in by the doctor are to be cut down appropriately for every case.
Skills:
- Pour/Pin & Base Crown and Bridge Models using specialized equipment
- Full Mouth Articulation using various articulators
- Implant Knowledge
- Ability to adhere to assigned schedule
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Dental anatomy
- Ability to use equipment such as lathes, pressure pots and small hand tools
- Knowledge of methods used to document and maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition.
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Knowledge of raw materials and production processes commonly used in the dental lab
- Maintain an organized work environment to complete work in an effective manner
- Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Computer skills using barcode scanners
- Previous dental experience in a lab or office
- Follow safety protocols including safe handling of equipment and proper use of PPE
- Follow manufactures guidelines for equipment safety
Pay Range:

Dental Lab Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a Dental Laboratory Administrative Assistant to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success.
Job Summary:
Perform shipping and receiving duties for dental laboratory to customers in compliance with department and legal requirements. Perform lab, administrative and clerical duties that assist in the delivery of products and services to end customers.
Responsibilities:
- Disinfection Control of incoming impressions from dentist
- Opening Shipments
- Identify products received from dentist
- Tooth numbering
- Distribution of cases to correct departments
- Knowledge of shipping procedures with latest shipping vendors
- Inventory control of shipping supplies
- Reading and understanding dental terminology
- Filing paperwork
- Document Scanning
- Data entry and documentation with management software
- Strong customer service skills
- Plan and schedule appointments and events
- Greet and assist onsite guests
- Answer inbound telephone calls
- Develop and implement organized filing systems
- Perform all other office tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in office administration or other related fields
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have experience with computers
